J. Scott Crosby is a qualified expert witness in the areas of land valuation and earning capacities of real estate. He has completed damage calculations in lawsuits related to agricultural and real estate damage claims. He specializes in appraising rural and recreational/"trophy" properties. In addition to his real estate/appraisal experience he has eight years of experience analyzing and organizing data on risk management for landowners and then delivering those findings to over 5,000 landowners in over 25 states. He has managed/ran a 2,500-acre farm and assisted in running over 1,000 head of cattle on 150,000 acres.

Scott Crosby has completed over 1,200 real estate appraisals as of 2024 with a total of over 1,500,000+/- acres. These appraisals included Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (Yellow Book) appraisals. These appraisals include agricultural, partition analysis, commercial and subdivision analysis, income projection analyses and conservation easements.  There are some personal property (machinery, equipment, vehicles, livestock) valuations included in the total number of appraisals completed.

Valerie Crosby is a qualified Certified General Appraiser. She works in the areas of land valuation and earning capacities of real estate and specializes in appraising rural and recreational/"trophy" properties. In addition to her real estate/appraisal experience she has over ten years of experience in data analyses and statistical consulting; including but not limited to such areas as quality control, productivity monitoring and improvement, inferential statistics, and statistical modeling for various corporations and independent contractors.

Valerie Crosby has completed over 350 real estate appraisals as of 2024 with a total of over 500,000+/- acres. These appraisals included Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). These appraisals include agricultural, partition analysis, income projection analyses, and conservation easements. There are some personal property (machinery, equipment, vehicles, livestock) valuations included in this total number of appraisals completed.

John Wicks, of Wicks and Associates, passed away on December 30, 2023. He was loved by all who were lucky enough to know him and he will be missed greatly. John Wicks trained and mentored J. Scott Crosby. 

John Wicks was a renowned and highly respected appraiser and expert in the field of agricultural valuation. John Wicks was a qualified expert witness in the areas of land valuation and earning capacities of real estate. He specialized in rural and commercial appraisals.  John Wicks testified and completed damage calculations in numerous lawsuits related to agriculture and real estate in the Montana and Wyoming Federal and State Courts as well as the U.S. Court of Claims, Washington D.C.  In addition, he completed damage appraisals in many lawsuits that were later settled out of court. He testified in approximately 90 agricultural Chapter 12 or Chapter 11 Bankruptcy hearings on either real estate appraisals or the debtors financial plan analysis.  He managed a 2,200 cow/calf ranch; a 200 cow/calf, 4,000 head feedlot, and 2,000-acre irrigated cropland ranch; a 3,000-acre dry farm operation; an 800 cow/calf and 1,000-acre irrigated hayland ranch; a 1,200-acre irrigated corn and hay ranch; and several small irrigated and dryland farms.  

John Wicks had completed over 1,300 real estate appraisals as of 2014 with a total of over 5,400,000+/- acres and a total value of over $1,650,000,000. These appraisals included Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (Yellow Book) appraisals. These appraisals included agricultural, commercial and subdivision analysis and conservation easements. John completed 45 conservation easement appraisals.  There are some personal property (machinery, equipment, vehicles, livestock) valuations included in the total number of appraisals completed.
